About Stephen Frith

An 18-year-old musician based in Manchester and Southwell, Stephen Frith is an emerging talent in composition.

In 2025 alone, he premiered his own cello concerto in Stoller Hall, won Liturina's BWV 1040 competition, had his work used in Heaton Park's popular 'Northern Lights'  installation, as well as having his music played in Beijing, and 3 other new works played in Carole Nash Hall

Whilst most of his work is chamber music, Stephen has written for orchestra and been involved in  pit bands and rock groups, often arranging music for performances as part of his role as Music Director
